Generative AI

Before I got into how this new generation of AI works I had assumed that this was an extension on Generational Adversarial Networks (GANs) and had explained it to myself that way. One side creating random starting points and another network criticizing it. How it actually works is so much more complicated that I'm struggling to try to put into a simple metaphor like two minds arguing with each other.

ComfyUI

This app seemed like best place to learn the concepts since it installed easily and showed the internals of what was happening via a node based workflow UI. It also has a great download manager to help you download missing files needed for their built-in templates.

You might get confused why some of the files don't download automatically. I found eventually that I needed to go to huggingface.co directly and sign up, create a passkey and then use that for my password when downloading directly from git.
